- medios de comunicación clausurados (closed down media)
- amenazas (threats)
- insultos (insults)
- agresiones físicas inexcusables y no merecidas (unfair and unexclusable physical aggression)
- expropiación de la propiedad privada (private property expropriation)
- alteración y contaminción de la educación de nuestros hijos (alteration and contamination of our children’s education)
- ultrajos a la salud y a los medios asistenciales (violation to health and public assistance centers)
- inseguridad en cada rincón de la nación (lack of safety in every corner of the nation)
- destrución de las Fuerzas Armadas (destruction of the Arm Force)
- ataques cobardes e injustos a la Iglesia (unfair and coward attacks to the Catholic Church)
- adquisición de armas (weapons and arms purchase)
- destrucción desalmada de la empresa privada venezolana y por ende aumento de desempleo diario (increse of unemplyment due to the unfair extinsion of numerous Venezuelan private business)
- cambios a los símbolos patrios completamente arbirtrarios y sin derecho (arbirtrary and unrightful changes to the national symbols)
- cambio de nombre arbirtrario de todas las dependencias del estado (arbitrary name change of all the state departments)
- criminalización de los estudiantes (students criminalization)
- uso de la violencia para aterrar a la población con grupos armados desde el alto gobierno plenamente identificados (use of violence to terrorize the country through armed groups completely identified as goverment aid)
- burla descarada de las elecciones gubernamentales las cuales se han convertido en un acto de títeres (mocking of the election process which have become a puppet show)
- obsequio arbitrario de nuestros recursos nacionales a otros paises (the giving away of our national resources to other countries)
- entregada de la soberanía a cubanos castristas (the handing over of power to Castro-follower Cubans)
- y sobre todo el discurso de odio perenne que ha dividido a la familia venezolana (and most important, the continuous hate speech which has divided the Venezuelan family)
En fin, ¿Como podemos llamar a lo que ocurre en Venezuela?
Finally, What can we call what Venezuela is going through?
En el 2000 desperté de ese sueño profundo y esa apatía en la que muchos caímos y al darme cuenta con dolor de lo que pasaba en mi país, comencé a involucrarme en actividades ciudadanas contra este régimen inmundo en manos del más grande traidor a la Patria. En esa época no tenía cámara sino las palabras que escribía y lo más importante, mi participación en la toma de conciencia la cual hizo posible el movimiento social que inició lo que llamamos hoy oposición a Chávez.
In 2000 I woke up from that deep sleep and that apathy that many fell into and realizing the pain my country was enduring, I started to get involved in the citizen activities against this disgusting regime at the hands of the biggest and greatest nation’s traitor. I didn’t have a camera at the beginning, only the words I could type and the most important ingredient, my participation in the acknowledgment and moral awareness which made possible the social movement that started what today we call the Chavez Opposition.
Mucho tiempo después conseguí una camarita con la que comencé mostrarle al mundo lo que pasaba en Venezuela, por esa impotencia que sentía al ver tanta injusticia y desesperanza en mi país. He tratado todos estos años de llevarle a ustedes la verdad a través de imágenes. Así nació mi comunicación con ustedes, mis fieles lectores y seguidores a los que les debo el mayor respeto y aprecio por el apoyo incondicional que me han brindado.
Much later I got a little camera with which I started to show the world what was happening in Venezuela because of the impotence I felt when I witnessed the injustice and dispair in my country. I have tried through the years to bring you the truth through images. That’s how my communication with you started, my faithful readers and followers to whom I owe the greatest respect and affection for the unconditional support that you have given me.
Continuaremos mostrandole al mundo la realidad venezolana, siempre teniendo en alto los principios y valores que nos inculcaron esos antecesores fieles a Simón Bolívar quienes como nosotros si amaron a nuestra patria.
We will continue to show the world the Venezuelan reality, always keeping in mind the principles and values that were implanted in us by our ancestors, always loyal to Simon Bolivar, and who like us truly loved our country.
El objetivo es uno y hoy más que nunca sabemos con certeza que el final de esta pesadilla se aproxima y estamos preparadas para mostrarselo al mundo entero porque Dios esta con nosotros.
The objective is one and today more than ever we are certain that the end of this nightmare is near and we are prepared to show it to the whole world because God is on our side.
