Una Imagen que cambia tu dia (An image that changes your day)

Yo que soy optimista y que me levanto con la esperanza de continuar con muchas fuerzas y de sobrellevar las responsabilidades personales, más las que llevamos muchos por la situación tan grave que vive el país, hoy me siento inútil e impotente ante la injusticia y la maldad de seres humanos contra otros. Que miseria humana. Que desgracia.

I am a person who is optimistic, and wakes up with lots of hope to continue with strength, and to bear the personal responsibilities, plus the one many of us carry for the serious situation that the country lives, but today I feel useless, impotent before the injustice, the evil of some humans against others. Human misery. What a misfortune.

Somos incapaces de detenernos a ver lo que ocurre. No solo en el mundo agitado, sino aquí cerca, en nuestro camino de todos los días. Esta joven la podemos encontrar en los alrededores de Plaza Venezuela.

We are incapable of stopping to see what’s going on. Not only in the busy world, but here, close by, on our every day path. We can see this poor woman around the Plaza Venezuela.

Me impresiona porque apenas sale el sol y la vemos caminando descalza, entre la gente, buscando que comer, con poca ropa. Se vé maltratada, abusada, como recién violada.

It shocks me because we see her as soon as the sun is up, walking barefoot, walking among people, looking for something to eat, with little clothing. She looks mistreated, abused, like recently raped.

Me dirán ustedes: Ay, sí, eso lo vemos siempre.

You would say: Oh, yes, we see that all the time.

La indigencia ha crecido. Por todos lados vemos humanos tirados en las calles. La miseria nos arropa pero resulta que eso no es suficiente. No lo es para conmovernos. No son suficiente tantas carencias.

Indigence has grown. Everywhere we look we see humans laying on the ground on the streets. Misery wraps us all around but that is not enough. It’s not enough to upset us. So many deficiencies are not enough.

Hoy esta mujer estaba tirada en el piso, a la vista de todos. Las miradas eran de mucha lástima porque ese ser humano estaba con su espalda marcada.

Today this woman was laying on the ground, visible to all. The looks were of sorrow because she had marks on her back.

¿Latigazos?, ¿tortura?, ¿de qué se trata? ¿Qué es esto Dios?, ¿por qué? No entiendo por qué. ¿Quién hace esto?

Lashing? Torture? What is it? God, What is this? Why? I don’t understand why. Who does this?

Nada es suficiente… ni el hambre, ni la pobreza, ni la falta de techo, medicinas  o empleo…  Nada es suficiente para que el pueblo haga algo para salir de donde está. Pero no un grupo, no… TODO el pueblo. El pueblo venezolano UNIDO!

Nothing is enough. No hunger, no poverty, no lack of roof, medicines or a job… Nothing is enough for the people to do something to get out of where we are. But not just a group, no… THE ENTIRE country. The Venezuelan country UNITED!

Ella nada tiene y lo peor de todo es que desconoce lo que significa que la quieran. Pero ¿y nosotros? ¿Cual es nuestra excusa? ¿Donde esta nuestro amor propio, amor a la patria, al prójimo, a los más necesitados? ¿Cuantas más como ésta criatura tienen que aparecernos en el camino para que despertemos? Venezuela, ¡despierta ya, carajo! ¡Ya está bueno de dejarnos joder! ¿Donde esta nuestro orgullo como país? Venezuela se nos está yendo a la mierda por un carajo desquisiado y los jala bolas que lo acompañan que son los único que comen bien en el país.

This poor woman has nothing and the worst part is, she doesn’t know what it means to have someone who cares. But what about us? What’s our excuse? Where is our self-love, our love to our country, to others and the needy? How many more creatures like this do we need to run into to make us wake up? Venezuela, wake up, damn it! Enough letting them fuck us! Where is our pride as a country? Venezuela is going down the drain in the hands of an insane maniac and the kiss-asses that follow him who are the only ones in the country who always have a full stomach.
