«Un manifestante relató su versión de los hechos durante la marcha de hoy»

Luego de finalizar la marcha opositora en contra de la Ley Orgánica de Educación en la ciudad de Caracas, el equipo de Noticias24 contactó a Leonardo Meda, quien fuera uno de los manifestantes venezolanos que este sábado decidió ejercer su derecho a la protesta pacífica en contra de dicho instrumento legal.
At the end of the protest against the new education law in the city of Caracas, the Noticias24 team contacted Leonardo Meda who was one of the many protesters who this Saturday decided to execute their right to protest peacefully against the legal instrument.
En tal sentido, Meda explicó que cerca de la 1:00 de la tarde, la Policía Metropolitana comenzó a dispersar a los manifestantes con bombas lacrimógenas desde el elevado de la avenida Libertador, mientras estos caminaban pacíficamente hacia el destino final de dicha marcha.
“De repente la PM nos empezó a disparar lacrimógenas y una de ellas me cayó en la cabeza y tuve que salir corriendo agarrado con mi mamá”, dijo, al tiempo que aseguró que un joven cercano a él fue impactado por una lacrimógena en su rodilla, mientras que otro manifestante resultó herido en un brazo.
Meda explained that at around 1:00pm, the police started to dissolve the protest with tear gas grenades that they threw at them from the Avenida Libertador overpass while they peacefully walked toward the permitted location. «All of the sudden the police started to throw the gas grenades and one of them hit me on the head, so I had to start running while holding my mother» he said. At the same time a guy next to him got hit on his knee and another one on his arm.
Explicó Meda que los efectivos de la Policía Metropolitana dispararon descontroladamente y sin ninguna explicación, pues aseguró que el grupo donde se encontraba caminaba sin cometer acciones violentas tal como afirmara el ministro del P.P. para Relaciones Interiores y Justicia Tareck El Aissami, así como los comandantes de los cuerpos de seguridad apostados en el lugar de los hechos.
Meda explained that the police started an uncontrolable attack without a reason and reafirmed that the group around him was walking peacefully without violent actions, opposite to what the Interior Affairs Minister Tareck El Aissami stated as well as the commanders from the security bodies present in that location.
Posteriormente, Leonardo Meda fue trasladado hacia la unidad de Salud Chacao, donde fue atendido por su lesión e indicó que había un numeroso grupo de personas heridas tras la manifestación de la jornada de hoy.»
Later, Leonardo Meda was taken to the Chacao Health Unit where his wound was nursed where he said there was a numerous group of people who were also wounded at today’s journey.»
